What is Kiosk Mode and how can I activate it?
With Kiosk Mode, you can display who is currently in the office on an external screen – either as a Present View with profile pictures or as a Map View showing occupied desks. Ideal for welcome displays or overview monitors.
How do I activate Kiosk Mode?
1. Open the desired floor plan
Navigate to "Plans" in the admin area and open the plan page where you want to activate Kiosk Mode.
2. Activate Kiosk Mode for a floor plan
- Click on "Kiosk Mode" in the top right corner to open the modal with the activation link and code.
- Make sure to note or copy the displayed code
3. Start Kiosk Mode in your preferred view on the selected device
- If you want to launch Kiosk Mode on the current device, use the link provided in the modal.
To display Kiosk Mode on an external screen, open https://app.desk.ly/en/kiosk-mode on the external device. - Choose the desired view:
- Present View (shows profile pictures or initials of people currently in the office)
- Map View (displays the office layout with occupied desks)
- Enter the activation code you generated in the admin area.
💡 Note: The activation code is only valid for 5 minutes for security reasons. If the activation is not completed in time, generate a new code in the admin area.

When should I use which view?
- Present View is perfect for welcome displays or reception screens, making it easy to see who is currently in the office.
If you are using the Whitelabel feature, the Present View will automatically adopt your defined brand colors, ensuring a design that fits your company.
- Map View is ideal for office overview monitors, helping users quickly see who is sitting where.
