Who is Louis?
Louis is Europe's No. 1 in motorbike clothing, spare parts and accessories. Walter Lohmann founded the company in 1938 and created Europe's largest motorbike and leisure company from the small motorbike repair workshop in Hamburg. Detlev Louis joined the company in 1946, whereupon the company was renamed to the name it still bears today. Behind Detlev Louis Motorrad-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH lies a long history and much tradition that characterises the international trading house and market leader. In addition, the company relies on a modern organisation, an efficient logistics centre and the expertise of around 2,100 employees.
The Louis range includes more than 40,000 products from the areas of clothing for scooters, motorbikes and quad riders, backpacks and travel bags for motorbikes, outdoor and gift and technical articles. The company is the sole importer of these brands, among others: Cycle Spirit, Highway 1 and Moto-Detail.
