Optimising the Flex Office – but how?

 

OMR has over 400 employees across various sectors, one of which is OMR Podstars. The team has nearly doubled in size within a few years. OMR has grown so dynamically that space in the Hamburg offices has become limited. However, relocating from the Schanze location was not an option, as its proximity to the trade fair and the surrounding environment perfectly suit the company.
At the same time, everyone at OMR enjoys the benefit of occasionally working from home. Surveys revealed that not everyone needs a permanent desk. Therefore, the existing office spaces are shared flexibly, hence the Flex Desks.

Shared desks intelligently organised

To prevent chaos in flex desking, a tool for managing workspaces was necessary. Since April 2021, the OMR team has been using desk.ly. Through the desk sharing software, employees can see which spaces are available, who is still in the office, and reserve their spot in advance. The straightforward operation and clarity were immediately convincing.
